Planet X Lunacy
There is a belief today that seems sort of ufologist or new ager in it's tenor and tone, about a rogue planet called Planet X which supposedly resides in our outer solar system regions. Where, the belief held by many is this, Planet X is suppose to come into the inner solar system on regular cycles and is supposedly logged in history by the recording of unusual weather and disasters that are held to be the effects of this planet re visiting us. And this is suppose to come to us from ancient text and thus is made to appear to be real science.
Not too long ago there was a comet that came up from the southern solar hemisphere and it came around the back of the sun and was not seen until it came around to our side of the sun close to the corona sphere. This comet was then seen by satellite and it was estimated to be the size of the planet Jupiter. The comet then plummeted into the sun and ended it's career in our solar system. Oddly the sun did have some excess solar or sunspot activity then and a few corona mass ejections. This was around the time of the controversy in the media over, whether Terry Shindler Shiavo was still able to recover from her coma, where we were being told that her brain had withered away. Now I want you to keep in mind this large comet then was estimated to be of the size of Jupiter.
The story about Planet X is that many say they can find reference to it in science literature but that it is covered up for the most part. The cover up is this, these people telling us about Planet X are covering up the fact that before the discovery of Pluto it was theorized that by the unusual orbits of Uranus and Neptune that there was perhaps another body out past them that was effecting their orbits. This then theoretical object was called Planet X. After this object was discovered it was given the name Pluto and became the ninth planet.
Hence the cover up here is by those fear mongering in some parts of this world with the propaganda of a rogue planet that is to come and reek havoc in the inner solar system and set into motion certain catastrophes. And they do not really read any real science or science news. None of these fellows are real scientist or researchers. Yet they make numerous radio broadcast on the International airwaves and numerous documentaries for airing on radio and also visit the George Noory Coast to Coast AM broadcast. R.G. Stair for a long while preached on Planet X. As well as David J. Smith. And oh yes, they have DVD's and books, etc, for sale.
For many years now the sun has been heating up the planets more so than it has before. Hence the effect is global warming. Although reports about the heat index of the planets are being ignored by most of the global warming community that is attributing all of the heating to man made sources only, the Planet X followers are attributing the weather pattern changes to the effects of the gradual gravitational effects of an slow approaching Planet X into our solar system.
As I mentioned earlier above, there was a great massive comet that came into our solar system estimated to be the size of Jupiter. And unlike Jupiter which is gas giant, a comet is frozen masses of water and other materials and hence very dense. Such a comet then can be considered to be more dense and inert than Jupiter and likewise having much greater gravitational mass. (If the report of it's size is correct.) And the point I want to make here is that if this were the actual case then, and I believe the report I then heard. The point then is that this comet did not cause any of the unusual gravitational effects upon it's approach into our solar system that the followers of Planet X claim are occurring on our planet here now. And Planet is not suppose to be much bigger than Earth I understand.
The prophets of Planet X are all prophets of science fiction. And their science is very faulty. Most of them repeat the words of one another. And so they just keep going in circles and you know how a rumor changes and grows as it goes around, with everyone embellishing the tale.
And so, they are reporting fictitious scientific reports. And I have heard broadcast were they borrow sound bites from science documentaries and clip them into their broadcast format to spin doctor the sound bites into their Planet X propaganda.
Anyways, for a long while now. The global warming effects have for many years been attributed to Planet X by these unenlightened folk. If anything they were saying is true then the effects would depict more the effects of a massive mass approaching us. A mass such as a compressed star or pulsar. And if there was a massive mass approaching us then we would have spotted it a long while ago. So all of their words are pure nonsense. Yet they all act as if they are researchers and real scientist. (Maybe they all are prophet and scientist wanna be's.)
Summarizing this: According to the Planet X theorist, the presence of such a rogue planet wandering our solar syste4m and hence slowly approaching us now a far off will effect the gravity of our solar system and this will result in abnormal weather patterns, earthquakes, unusual volcanic activity and flooding, etc. And we are suppose to be feeling it's effects even now and according to the Planet X theorist these effects have been going on now for years and are the sign of the slow approaching rogue planet.
The bottom line is that the supposed science here is ludicrous. There are allot of large asteroids in the asteroid belt that move around and relocate there and they do not cause unusual gravity effects by their shift positions in the solar system. We have had large comets come by here and they did not effect us gravitationally.
The only way we could feel the effects of such a rogue planet is if it were so close to us as we can see it as plainly as we see the Moon. Hence it would have to be between us and Mars at best for us to have any noticeable effects. And this means it would be easily seen as I mentioned above. Hence the Planet X theory is urban mythology and pseudo science. There is not one credible thing about any of it.
I recommend that you do not listen to this nonsense. These fellows mostly want to sell books and rake in radio broadcast contributions or use this story to generate interest in their web sites so you can go there and look around and notice their wares in terms of publications and CD ROMs and DVD purchases.
Anyways folks, if this planet had been approaching us as they have been telling us for all of these years then it would have been here by now. If we take the amount of time for a comet to visit us and then leave as an indicator, then Planet X would have been seen long ago. It would have destroyed the Earth then a few years back based upon the earlier reports. And if any of these fellows read this text here, then they will have to re invent their story to make it sound more credible but this is something they really can not do. They depend upon people whom are misinformed by nature and lacking education as their base for marketing to.
