Seven Women

"¶And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach." Isaiah 4:1

Well I am going to tell you a parable here. And the seven woman I am talking about are seven religious institutes. All of them claiming to be the Bride of Christ. Although they have not seemed to understand that the Bride of Christ is the Holy city New Jerusalem that comes down from above and does not come from here upon the earth. It does not come from them.

They all must be called by the name of Christ so as to be made credible here in this world. They have to be able to turn a profit off of that name. And to do this, they cheat on the true measure. When they make bread they use three parts barley and one part or measure of wheat instead of the loaf being whole wheat. They want us to think that we are getting a bargain since we can get three measures of barley for a penny as compared to one measure of wheat for a penny. They want us to think we are getting more, but we are getting barley instead of the true seed for flour which is the wheat. So they make their own bread. That is they make their own institutional or denominational doctrines. Such doctrines as the Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, etc, etc.

"And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine." Rv 6:5~6

Now they do not want to acquire the apparel of the robe of righteousness. They want to make their own robes of righteousness. And yet they all have to be called by the name of Christ so as not to be discredited. They have to look like they really are the true thing so as to be able to make merchandise of men with their religious wares. They are merchandisers of religion just as they were in the Temple when Christ whipped them and ran them out.
